Memories of My Life

By Jeffrey L. Carrier

I have always thought that a blog was reserved for people who have something very important to say, people who are brilliant writers, who comment on world affairs and domestic politics, who are intellectuals, academics and poets. I am none of those things. My life has been extraordinarily ordinary. The half-way point of my life has already passed, and I haven’t held office, raised a family, made a lot of money or become well known.  I haven’t even had a successful relationship. But I have been in love, held down a series of jobs, owned homes, traveled a bit, been happy and been unhappy.

So why am I blogging? I simply want to share the memories of the events and experiences and adventures of my life before I forget them. I want to leave a record of what I have seen and what I have felt and what I have thought.
